2. verbMoor (a ship) to the sea bottom with an anchor.
The reason why the letter A is so significant and magical for our training
A as Anchor: building links between topics, elements, symbols and meanings is one of the necessary ingredients to achieving a modern and brain-friendly learning. And we need to drop “anchors in the waters of our courses”, so that these connections are long-lasting and solid in our Learners’ mind.
To sum up, it’s about deliberately instilling connections between elements to help activate a memory or perform a positive action. Images and colors; sounds and icons; quotes or idioms; characters, etc…all these elements can turn into powerful “anchors of training”, able to positively affect our Learners’ behaviors. Contact us and learn how to do it! 😎
This strategy is very often used in advertising. Let’s use it in our training, too!
How many times, while listening to a hit in a commercial, we recall the brand or the product in that advertising? Sometimes, these “anchors” can be so persistent and deep in our minds that no commercial is needed to engage them.
“I could have my Gucci on
I could wear my Louis Vuitton
But even with nothin’ on
Bet I made you look
I could have my Gucci on
I could wear my Louis Vuitton
But even with nothin’ on
Bet I made you look”
This is an Anchor, just sayin’… 🤣
Until the next letter of the Alphabet of Modern Training!
