On August 17, 2022, SAP and Francisco Partners (FP) announced that they had reached a definitive agreement under which Francisco Partners will acquire SAP Litmos – Learning Management System.
The transition of Litmos into an independent company will be completed in December 2022.
Litmos LMS is the world’s most agile and modern next-generation e-learning platform (NextGen LMS). Used by large companies and SMEs, Litmos has been a leader in the e-learning industry since 2007, with over 30 million users.
Litmos also offers its customers a constantly updated catalog of courses in its Litmos Training Content Library, which currently contains over 2,000 training content.
A new exciting future for Litmos LMS.
The success of our customers has always been the absolute priority for Litmos and SAP. To achieve this goal, SAP regularly reviews its portfolio of solutions to ensure that resources and investments are optimized to support growth, innovation, and ongoing success.
For Litmos’s new future, SAP has chosen Francisco Partners as the ideal and strategic investor, due to their incredible investment capabilities, organizational culture, and industry experience. This transition will offer even more value to Litmos customers.
“SAP is committed to making every organization intelligent, connected, and sustainable through data, technology, and best practices,” said Meg Bear, President and Chief Product Officer of SAP SuccessFactors. “As part of SAP’s ongoing portfolio review, we determined that the value proposition and features of SAP SuccessFactors Learning and SAP Litmos solutions overlapped.“
Allowing e-learning platform Litmos to operate as an independent company will allow it to continue growing and accelerate the innovation of its digital training solutions.
“Francisco Partners will be able to provide Litmos with the investment, attention, and experience to continue growing and innovating technologically.“
